NJ Transit Main / Bergen County Lines Trip Report

We rode the Main / Bergen County Lines and Port Jervis Line on 15 February 2009. We began our first journey on NJ Transit in Port Jervis catching a train that made all stops along the Port Jervis Line then continued to make all stops as it followed the Main Line to Secaucus Junction. Our return train from Secaucus Junction followed the Bergen County Line, so we covered almost three full lines on one very long trip.

We took a second trip on the Bergen County Line on 17 April 2010 to stop at the one station we had missed on the earlier trip, Plauderville. After grabbing some donuts for breakfast, we began this journey in Waldwick, being careful to board a Bergen County Line train, not a Main Line train. We took the train to Rutherford where we stopped for a snack and then caught a train back to Waldwick to end our journey. We visited the remaining station, Hoboken, as part of our journey on the Pascack Valley Line.
