We rode Metra's Union Pacific North Line from Chicago to Kenosha on 27 June 2015. The train was crowded in both directions. We did not realize the line was left hand running, so unfortunately we were too close to most stations to get good pictures. This also meant that we sat on the hot sunny side of the train on the outbound trip, further reducing the quality of the pictures. Even when we arrived in Kenosha the platform was crowded with people waiting for the return trip. The one good thing about the ride was that the train stopped at the limited service Ravinia Park station, so we stopped at every station on the line. We also had some time the next day to revisit many of the stations and get better photographs.
