LIRR Far Rockaway Branch Trip Report

We took two different trips to visit all of the stations on the Far Rockaway Branch. The first trip was on 16 May 2009 and was part of our ride on the Long Beach Branch. This trip was from Long Beach to Jamaica, but the train also stopped at Rosedale, Laurelton, and Locust Manor. The second trip was on 24 May 2009, when we rode from Far Rockaway to Valley Stream. For this trip we drove to Far Rockaway and were picked up in Valley Stream, so it was a one way trip. After arriving in Valley Stream we drove up to West Hempstead, stopped for lunch at a White Castle, and took the West Hempstead Branch from West Hempstead back to Valley Stream where we were once again picked up.
