The lines from Rouses Point and Swanton meet in Cantic. This is the line from Vermont. The line from New York is to the left.
These lights likely illuminated a platform on the line to Vermont at one time.
The former stop in Cantic on the line to New York was probably somewhere in this area. In 1945 the Central Vermont Railway stayed further east between St. Albans and St. Johns, but by 1957 was using this route through Cantic.
