Home > Railroads > Former Railroads > Erie - Harriman to Newburgh > Houghton Farm
I found a place called Houghton Farm on an old USGS topographic map. The above photo is looking toward what was Houghton Farm from the nearest local road. The small road that used to go there doesn't even appear to exist anymore.
Comparing the old map to a current one, it looks like the New York State Thruway now runs right through what was once Houghton Farm, and the old railroad right of way is still clearly visible heading southwest and northeast. The old stop was likely very close to here.
