Hammel

The former Hammel station was in the area where the Far Rockaway Branch met the Rockaway Beach Division. We see the former Rockaway Beach Division as we near the end of the former Atlantic Division tracks.

Riding along the connecting track on the temporary special H train toward Holland and then toward Arverne.

Although the substation now says NYC Transit System, the original Sub-Station 5 Long Island Rail Road is still clearly visible on the side of the building. On the right we see the tracks currently used by the subway to get to Far Rockaway.
