Old Saybrook

Old Saybrook has an old station building with a waiting room and Amtrak ticket office. Our journey on the Shore Line East began here.

On this day our train was pulled by an Amtrak locomotive. Although the line is electrified the whole way, SLE service uses diesel locomotives.
